Introduction to the World Innovation Conference

世界创新大会(WIC)创办于2017年。大会主旨是“探索人类创新发展问题，促进国际创新交流合作，让创新更好地造福人类”；愿景是“立足中国，面向世界，致力打造具有全球影响力的国际创新盛会和国际创新交流合作平台，努力成为链接全球政界、工商界、科学界的桥梁和纽带”。

World Innovation Conference (WIC) was founded in 2017. The main theme of the conference is “to explore human innovation and development issues, promote international innovation exchanges and cooperation, and harness innovation for the benefit of humanity.” The vision is “Rooted in China with a global vision, we are committed to building an international innovation event and international platform for exchange and cooperation with global influence, striving to become a bridge connecting governments, business, scientific communities worldwide.”

世界创新大会前身是2017年创办的“中国创新大会”和2018年创办的“创新全球论坛”，2019年起更名为“世界创新大会”。大会秉承创新、开放、合作、共赢的精神，坚持公益性和长期主义，实行国际化、市场化、专业化的运营机制，探索理事会、科学委员会、顾问委员会共商共建的管理发展模式。

The World Innovation Conference (WIC) traces its origins to the "China Innovation Conference" (founded in 2017) and the "Global Innovation Forum" (established in 2018). In 2019, these initiatives were consolidated and rebranded as the World Innovation Conference. Adhering to the spirit of innovation, openness, cooperation and win-win situation, WIC operates as a non-profit platform with a long-term vision. WIC implements the international, market-oriented and professional operation mechanism, and explore the management and development model of the Council, Scientific Committee, and Advisory Committee.

经过九年的精心培育和发展，世界创新大会已成功举办八届年度盛会，以及中国创新大会、创新全球论坛等国际性会议，来自100多个国家和地区的政府官员、国际组织负责人、工商界领袖、科学家、青年科学家和学者等9000多名嘉宾出席会议。近百位重要嘉宾在大会作主旨演讲，签署了一系列重要合作协议，取得了丰硕成果，国内国际影响力不断增强。

Through nine years of dedicated cultivation and strategic development, WIC has successfully held eight annual grand gatherings, along with international conferences such as the China Innovation Conference and the Global Innovation Forum. These events have brought together over 9,000 distinguished participants from more than 100 countries and regions, comprising government dignitaries, heads of international institutions, business leaders, eminent scientists, emerging young researchers, and renowned scholars. Nearly a hundred prominent guests have delivered keynote speeches at the conferences. A series of important cooperation agreements have been signed, yielding abundant results. This consistent track record has significantly enhanced WIC's domestic and international prominence.

目前，世界创新大会已与100多个国家、地区政府部门和国际组织建立了良好的联系；与200多家跨国企业、创新领军企业和科研院所建立了合作伙伴关系；汇聚了300多位全球顶尖科学家、企业家、青年科学家和学者资源；融合了会议交流、创新合作、产业投资、智库咨询、创新生态系统指数发布、资源对接、创新成果交易服务等功能，为大会理事会员和各国政府、企业不断提供丰富而有价值的创新服务。

At present, WIC has established good connections with government departments and international organizations from over 100 countries and regions. It has also forged partnerships with more than 200 multinational corporations, leading innovative enterprises, and research institutions. Moreover, it has gathered resources from over 300 top-tier global scientists, entrepreneurs, young scientists, and scholars. Integrating functions including conference exchanges, innovation cooperation, industrial investment, think tank advisory services, release of innovation ecosystem indices, resource matching, and trading services for innovation achievements, the conference continuously provides rich and valuable innovation services to its Council members, as well as governments and enterprises around the world.

世界创新大会每年将在中国举办全球年会，并同期举办助推科技、产业、经济及创新治理等领域的创新论坛（如：中国创新大会、人工智能与机器人创新论坛、生命科学创新论坛、青年科学家论坛等），协同国际顶尖智库研究发布《全球创新生态系统指数》，评选人类创新奖、创新人物奖、创新商业领袖奖、创新青年领袖奖，发布世界创新企业500强、中国创新企业500强排行榜，推出行业技术创新发展蓝皮书。

The World Innovation Conference (WIC) will hold its annual global conference in China, and concurrently organize innovation forums (e.g., China Innovation Conference, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Innovation Forum, Life Science Innovation Forum, Young Scientists' Forum, etc.) to promote science and technology, industry, economy and innovation governance, etc.In collaboration with world-leading think tanks, WIC jointly researches and publishes the Global Innovation Ecosystem Index. It confers prestigious awards including the Human Innovation Award, Innovation Pioneer Award, Business Innovation Leadership Award, and Emerging Innovation Leader Award. The conference also release the list of Top 500 Innovative Enterprises in the World and Top 500 Innovative Enterprises in China, and launch the industry-specific Technology Innovation Development Blueprints.

同时，大会将不定期在全球选择具有创新竞争力的热门城市举办区域性国际创新会议（如：达沃斯论坛、硅谷论坛、巴黎论坛、香港论坛、新加坡论坛、沙特论坛等）。持续开展对接技术产业与金融投资的研讨会，面向社会公众开放的创新公益讲堂，围绕青年科学家及青年企业家的线上线下研讨会等活动。在非洲、拉丁美洲等地区开展“科技创新”和“社会创新”援助计划。携手全球科学界、工商界、政界和媒体界代表共同参与全球创新治理重构，探索未来创新。通过各方共同努力，致力于在2030年将世界创新大会打造成具有全球影响力的国际创新盛会和国际创新交流合作平台。

At the same time, WIC will strategically convene regional international innovation conferences in globally recognized innovation hubs (such as: Davos Forum, Silicon Valley Forum, Paris Forum, Hong Kong Forum, Singapore Forum, Saudi Arabia Forum, etc.). WIC will Continuously conduct seminars to match technology industry and financial investment, public lecture halls on innovation open to the public, and online and offline seminars centered on young scientists and young entrepreneurs. Furthermore, WIC will implement targeted assistance programs focusing on "Scientific & Technological Innovation" and "Social Innovation" across Africa, Latin America and other developing regions. Join hands with representatives of the global scientific, business, political and media communities to participate in the restructuring of global innovation governance and explore the future of innovation. Through the joint efforts of all parties, we are committed to making the World Innovation Conference a globally influential international innovation event and a platform for international innovation exchanges and cooperation by 2030.
