世界创新大会概况

世界创新大会（World Innovation Congress，简称：WIC）创立于2017年，是以探索未来、推动创新、促进全球合作为主旨的国际平台，永久总部设在粤港澳大湾区。大会以习近平总书记关于创新发展的重要论述和重要指示精神为根本遵循，以构建全球创新共同体、让创新造福人类为使命，致力于打造立足中国、链接世界、具有全球影响力的国际新型组织，成为政府、企业、科研机构及国际组织深度交流合作的重要桥梁。

世界创新大会前身是2017年创办的“中国创新大会”（China Innovation Congress，CIC）和2018年创办的“创新全球论坛”（Innovation Global Forum，GIF），于2019年整合升级为“世界创新大会”（WIC）。大会秉持“创新、开放、合作、共赢”的核心精神，坚守公益性为主和长期主义原则，通过国际化、市场化、专业化的运作机制，依托理事会、科学委员会、顾问委员会共商共建的管理模式，构建了集国际会议、智库研究、产业对接、成果转化、创新评价五位一体的创新服务体系。

九年来，世界创新大会在中国政府的大力支持以及全球合作伙伴的持续参与下，已成功举办九届全球年会与多场国际会议，汇聚300余位全球杰出领袖发表远见卓识的主题演讲，吸引100多个国家和地区12000多名参会者，包括高级政策制定者、国际组织代表、顶尖科学家、知名企业家和优秀青年学者。大会已推动数十项重大科技创新成果转化及应用，2023年至2024年，直接促成跨国产业投资与经贸合作签约金额超260亿元，以扎实显著的成果彰显了平台在链接全球创新资源、服务国家经济高质量发展中的实践效能。

目前，世界创新大会已与全球100多个国家、地区政府及国际组织建立合作关系，与200余家跨国企业、创新型领军企业和科研机构达成战略合作，汇聚300余位全球专家资源，形成了多元协同的全球创新合作网络。大会发起的“世界创新大奖”“世界创新企业500强榜单”和“全球城市创新竞争力100强榜单”等国际评价体系，已成为全球创新领域具有重要影响的指标。

大会每年将在粤港澳大湾区举办全球年会、世界创新博览会、世界创新大奖颁奖盛典、全球创新节四大主体活动，同期配套举办十大重点领域行业论坛及前沿创新成果展示，覆盖科技、经济、人工智能、生命科学、农业、教育、汽车、能源、资本、文化等关键领域。

未来，世界创新大会将持续推进全球化战略布局，定期在美国硅谷、瑞士日内瓦、新加坡、沙特利雅得、肯尼亚内罗毕等全球重点创新合作城市举办区域峰会，搭建跨区域创新对话与协作桥梁，深化国际创新合作共识；同时在非洲、拉美等新兴市场开展“科技与社会创新援助计划”，以创新方案应对粮食安全、绿色发展等全球共性挑战，推动构建互利共赢的全球创新共同体，携手各国创新力量，汇聚全球领袖智慧，凝聚国际共识，探索创新路径，深化国际合作，让创新成果更好地造福人类。

The World Innovation Congress (WIC)

World Innovation Congress (WIC), founded in 2017, is an international platform focused on exploring the future, promoting innovation, and facilitating global cooperation. With its permanent headquarters in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, WIC aims to build a global innovation community and enable innovation to benefit humanity. It strives to become a world-influential new type of international organization rooted in China and connected to the world, serving as a key bridge for in-depth exchanges and cooperation among governments, enterprises, research institutions, and international organizations.

The World Innovation Congress evolved from the China Innovation Congress (CIC), established in 2017, and the Innovation Global Forum (GIF), launched in 2018, and was renamed the World Innovation Congress (WIC) in 2019. Upholding the core values of “innovation, openness, cooperation, and mutual benefit,” the conference adheres to a public-benefit orientation and long-termism principles. Through internationalized, market-oriented, and professional operational mechanisms, and leveraging a collaborative governance model involving the Council, Scientific Committee, and Advisory Committee, it has established an integrated innovation service system encompassing five pillars: international conferences, think tank research, industry matchmaking, achievement transformation, and innovation evaluation.

Over the past nine years, with strong support from the Chinese government and sustained participation from global partners,WIC has successfully hosted nine global annual meetings and numerous international conferences. It has gathered over 300 global leaders to deliver visionary keynote speeches, attracting more than 12,000 participants from over 100 countries and regions—including senior policymakers, representatives of international organizations, top scientists, renowned entrepreneurs, and outstanding young scholars. The conference has facilitated the transformation and application of dozens of major scientific and technological innovations. From 2023 to 2024, it directly facilitated cross-border industrial investment and economic cooperation agreements exceeding 26 billion yuan. These substantial and remarkable achievements demonstrate the platform's practical effectiveness in connecting global innovation resources and serving the nation's high-quality economic development.

Currently, WIC has established cooperative relationships with governments and international organizations in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. It has formed strategic partnerships with more than 200 multinational corporations, innovative leading enterprises, and research institutions, gathering resources from over 300 global experts to build a diverse and collaborative global innovation cooperation network. The international evaluation systems initiated by the conference, including the World Innovation Awards, the World Top 500 Innovative Enterprises List, and the Global Top 100 Cities Innovation Competitiveness List, have become influential indicators in the global innovation field.

Annually, WIC hosts four major events in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area: the Global Annual Conference, World Innovation Expo, WIC Awards Ceremony, and Global Innovation Festival. These are complemented by ten industry forums and cutting-edge innovation exhibitions across key sectors including technology, economics, artificial intelligence, life sciences, agriculture, education, automotive, energy, capital, and culture.

Moving forward, WIC will advance its global strategic expansion by regularly hosting regional summits in key innovation hubs worldwide—including Silicon Valley, Geneva, Singapore, Riyadh, and Nairobi—to build cross-regional bridges for innovation dialogue and collaboration, deepening international consensus on innovation cooperation. Simultaneously, it will implement the “Science, Technology, and Social Innovation Assistance Program” in emerging markets like Africa and Latin America. This initiative will address global challenges such as food security and green development through innovative solutions, fostering a mutually beneficial global innovation community. By uniting innovation forces worldwide, pooling global leadership wisdom, building international consensus, exploring innovative pathways, and deepening international cooperation, the program aims to ensure innovation outcomes better serve humanity.
