世界创新大会概况

WIC世界创新大会创立于2017年，是立足中国、联接世界、具有全球影响力的国际创新合作平台，永久总部设于粤港澳大湾区。WIC以“探索未来、推动创新、促进全球合作”为主旨，以服务国家创新发展战略为根本遵循，以构建全球创新共同体、让创新造福人类为使命，致力于成为政界、科学界、工商界及国际组织深度交流合作的重要桥梁。

世界创新大会的前身，是2017年创办的“中国创新大会”（China Innovation Congress，CIC）和2018年创办的“创新全球论坛”（Innovation Global Forum，GIF），于2019年整合升级为“世界创新大会”（WIC）。WIC秉持“创新、开放、合作、共赢”的核心精神，坚守公益性为主和长期主义原则，通过国际化、市场化、专业化的运作机制，依托理事会、科学委员会、顾问委员会共商共建的管理模式，构建了集国际会议、智库研究、产业对接、成果转化、创新评价五位一体的创新服务体系。

十年来，WIC在中国政府的大力支持以及全球合作伙伴的持续参与下，已成功举办九届全球年会与数十场国际会议，汇聚300余位全球各界领袖发表兼具前瞻性与实践性的主题演讲，为全球创新发展建言献策，累计吸引100多个国家和地区1.2万名各界杰出代表参会，包括政府高级官员、国际组织代表、顶尖科学家、知名企业家和优秀青年学者。WIC已推动数十项重大科技成果转化与产业应用，仅2023-2025年，促成的跨国合作签约金额就突破400亿元人民币，有力推动“全球创新共同体”从理念构想走向生动实践，充分彰显了平台链接全球创新资源、赋能国家创新发展的核心实践价值与使命担当。

目前，WIC已与全球100多个国家、地区政府及国际组织建立合作关系，与200余家跨国企业、创新型领军企业和科研机构达成战略合作，汇聚300余位全球专家资源，形成了多元协同的全球创新合作网络。WIC发起的“世界创新大奖”“世界创新企业500强榜单”和“全球城市创新竞争力100强榜单”等国际评价体系，已成为全球创新领域具有重要影响的指标。

WIC每年将在粤港澳大湾区举办全球年会、世界创新博览会、世界创新大奖颁奖盛典、全球创新节四大主体活动，同期配套举办十大重点领域行业论坛及前沿创新成果展示，覆盖科技、经济、人工智能、生命科学、农业、教育、汽车、能源、资本、文化等关键领域。

未来，WIC将持续推进全球化战略布局，定期在美国硅谷、瑞士日内瓦、新加坡、沙特利雅得、肯尼亚内罗毕等全球重点创新合作城市举办区域峰会，搭建跨区域创新对话与协作桥梁，深化国际创新合作共识；同时在非洲、拉美等新兴市场开展“科技与社会创新援助计划”，以创新方案应对粮食安全、绿色发展等全球共性挑战，推动构建互利共赢的全球创新共同体，携手各国创新力量，汇聚全球领袖智慧，凝聚国际共识，探索创新路径，深化国际合作，让创新成果更好地造福人类。

Overview of the World Innovation Congress

The World Innovation Congress (WIC), founded in 2017, is a globally influential platform for international innovation cooperation. Rooted in China and connected with the world, its permanent headquarters is located in the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Guided by the motto “Exploring the Future, Advancing Innovation, and Promoting Global Cooperation,” WIC is committed to building a global innovation community and harnessing innovation for the benefit of humanity. It strives to serve as a vital bridge for in-depth exchanges and cooperation among government, scientific, academic, and business sectors, as well as international organizations.

WIC evolved from two predecessor initiatives: the China Innovation Congress (CIC) established in 2017 and the Innovation Global Forum (IGF) launched in 2018. The two platforms were integrated and upgraded into the World Innovation Congress (WIC) in 2019. Adhering to the core spirit of “Innovation, Openness, Cooperation, and Win-Win Results,” WIC upholds a commitment to public welfare and long-termism. Through an international, market-oriented, and professional operation mechanism, and supported by a governance structure featuring joint deliberation and development by its Council, Scientific Committee, and Advisory Committee, WIC has built an integrated innovation service system that combines five pillars: international conferences, think tank research, industrial collaboration, achievement commercialization, and innovation evaluation.

Over the past decade, with strong support from the Chinese government and sustained participation from global partners, WIC has successfully held nine global annual meetings and dozens of international conferences. More than 300 global leaders from various sectors have delivered forward-looking and practical keynote speeches, contributing insights and proposals for global innovation-driven development. In total, WIC has attracted 12,000 distinguished delegates from over 100 countries and regions, including senior government officials, representatives of international organizations, leading scientists, renowned entrepreneurs, and outstanding young scholars.

WIC has facilitated the commercialization and industrial application of dozens of major scientific and technological achievements. During 2023–2025 alone, the value of cross-border cooperation agreements signed under its auspices exceeded RMB 40 billion, effectively advancing the “global innovation community” from conceptual vision to concrete practice. This fully demonstrates the platform’s core practical value and mission in linking global innovation resources and empowering national innovation-driven development.

To date, WIC has established cooperative relations with governments and international organizations in more than 100 countries and regions, and forged strategic partnerships with over 200 multinational corporations, leading innovative enterprises, and research institutions. It has assembled a global network of more than 300 experts, forming a diversified and collaborative global innovation cooperation network. The international evaluation systems initiated by WIC — including the World Innovation Award, the World’s Top 500 Innovative Enterprises, and the Global Top 100 Cities in Innovation Competitiveness — have become influential benchmarks in the global innovation landscape.

Each year, WIC hosts four flagship events in the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area: the Global Annual Meeting, the World Innovation Expo, the World Innovation Award Ceremony, and the Global Innovation Festival. These are accompanied by ten industry forums in key sectors and exhibitions of cutting-edge innovations, covering science and technology, economy, artificial intelligence, life sciences, agriculture, education, automotive, energy, capital, culture, and other critical fields.

Going forward, WIC will continue to advance its global strategic layout. It will regularly host regional summits in major global innovation hubs such as Silicon Valley (United States), Geneva (Switzerland), Singapore, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and Nairobi (Kenya), building bridges for cross-regional innovation dialogue and collaboration and deepening consensus on international innovation cooperation.

Meanwhile, WIC will launch the Science, Technology and Social Innovation Assistance Program in emerging markets including Africa and Latin America, addressing common global challenges such as food security and green development through innovative solutions. WIC is committed to building a mutually beneficial global innovation community, uniting innovative forces from all countries, pooling the wisdom of global leaders, forging international consensus, exploring pathways for innovation, deepening international cooperation, and enabling the fruits of innovation to better benefit humanity.
