世界创新大会概况

世界创新大会（World Innovation Congress，简称：WIC）创立于2017年，是立足中国、链接世界、具有全球影响力的国际创新合作平台，永久总部设于粤港澳大湾区。WIC以“探索未来、推动创新、促进全球合作”为主旨，以服务国家创新发展战略为根本遵循，以构建全球创新共同体、让创新造福人类为使命，致力于成为政界、科学界、工商界及国际组织深度交流合作的重要桥梁。

世界创新大会的前身，是2017年创办的“中国创新大会”（China Innovation Congress，CIC）和2018年创办的“创新全球论坛”（Innovation Global Forum，GIF），于2019年整合升级为“世界创新大会”（WIC）。WIC秉持“创新、开放、合作、共赢”的核心精神，坚守公益性为主和长期主义原则，通过国际化、市场化、专业化的运作机制，依托理事会、科学委员会、顾问委员会共商共建的管理模式，构建了集国际会议、智库研究、产业对接、成果转化、创新评价五位一体的创新服务体系。

十年来，WIC在中国政府的大力支持以及全球合作伙伴的持续参与下，已成功举办九届全球年会与数十场国际会议，汇聚300余位全球各界领袖发表兼具前瞻性与实践性的主题演讲，为全球创新发展建言献策，累计吸引100多个国家和地区1.2万名各界杰出代表参会，包括政府高级官员、国际组织代表、顶尖科学家、知名企业家和优秀青年学者。WIC已推动数十项重大科技成果转化与产业应用，仅2023-2025年，促成的跨国合作签约金额就突破400亿元人民币，有力推动“全球创新共同体”从理念构想走向生动实践，充分彰显了平台链接全球创新资源、赋能国家创新发展的核心实践价值与使命担当。

目前，WIC已与全球100多个国家、地区政府及国际组织建立合作关系，与200余家跨国企业、创新型领军企业和科研机构达成战略合作，汇聚300余位全球专家资源，形成了多元协同的全球创新合作网络。WIC发起的“世界创新大奖”“世界创新企业500强榜单”和“全球城市创新竞争力100强榜单”等国际评价体系，已成为全球创新领域具有重要影响的指标。

WIC每年将在粤港澳大湾区举办全球年会、世界创新博览会、世界创新大奖颁奖盛典、全球创新节四大主体活动，同期配套举办十大重点领域行业论坛及前沿创新成果展示，覆盖科技、经济、人工智能、生命科学、农业、教育、汽车、能源、资本、文化等关键领域。

未来，WIC将持续推进全球化战略布局，定期在美国硅谷、瑞士日内瓦、新加坡、沙特利雅得、肯尼亚内罗毕等全球重点创新合作城市举办区域峰会，搭建跨区域创新对话与协作桥梁，深化国际创新合作共识；同时在非洲、拉美等新兴市场开展“科技与社会创新援助计划”，以创新方案应对粮食安全、绿色发展等全球共性挑战，推动构建互利共赢的全球创新共同体，携手各国创新力量，汇聚全球领袖智慧，凝聚国际共识，探索创新路径，深化国际合作，让创新成果更好地造福人类。

Overview of the World Innovation Congress (WIC)

The World Innovation Congress (WIC), founded in 2017, is an international platform for innovation cooperation with global reach. Anchored in China and connected to the world, it is headquartered in the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area. Guided by its purpose “Exploring the Future, Advancing Innovation, and Fostering Global Cooperation” and the principle of serving the national innovation‑driven development strategy, WIC is committed to its mission of building a global innovation community and putting innovation to work for the benefit of humanity. It serves as a key bridge for in‑depth exchange and cooperation among governments, the scientific and business communities, and international organizations.

WIC was formed in 2019 through the integration and upgrading of its predecessors: the China Innovation Congress (CIC), launched in 2017, and the Innovation Global Forum (IGF), established in 2018. Upholding the core values of “Innovation, Openness, Cooperation, and Win‑Win” and guided by a public‑welfare orientation and long‑term commitment, WIC operates through internationalized, market‑based, and professional mechanisms. Under the collaborative governance of its Council, Scientific Committee, and Advisory Committee, it has built a comprehensive innovation‑service system that integrates international conferences, think‑tank research, industry partnership, technology transfer, and innovation evaluation.

Over the past decade, with strong support from the Chinese government and the sustained engagement of global partners, WIC has successfully convened nine Global Annual Conferences and dozens of international meetings. It has brought together more than 300 global leaders from various sectors to deliver forward‑looking and practical keynote speeches, offering insights into global innovation and development. To date, WIC has attracted over 12,000 distinguished participants from more than 100 countries and regions, including senior government officials, representatives of international organizations, leading scientists, renowned entrepreneurs, and outstanding young scholars. The platform has facilitated the transformation and industrial application of dozens of major scientific and technological achievements. Notably, between 2023 and 2025 alone, cross‑border cooperation agreements facilitated through WIC exceeded RMB 40 billion, effectively advancing the vision of a “global innovation community” from concept to practice and demonstrating its core value in connecting global innovation resources and empowering national innovation development.

To date, WIC has established cooperative ties with governments and international organizations in over 100 countries and regions. It has formed strategic partnerships with more than 200 multinational corporations, innovative industry leaders, and research institutions, and maintains a network of over 300 global experts, forming a diverse and synergistic global innovation ecosystem. The international frameworks initiated by WIC—including the World Innovation Award, the World’s Top 500 Innovative Enterprises, and the Global Top 100 Innovative Cities Index—have become influential benchmarks in the global innovation landscape.

Each year, WIC hosts four flagship events in the Greater Bay Area: the Global Annual Conference, the World Innovation Expo, the World Innovation Award Ceremony, and the Global Innovation Festival. These are complemented by industry forums and exhibitions of cutting‑edge innovations across ten key sectors: science and technology, the economy, artificial intelligence, life sciences, agriculture, education, automotive, energy, finance, and culture.

Looking forward, the World Innovation Congress will continue to expand its global presence by regularly convening regional summits in major international innovation hubs, such as Silicon Valley (USA), Geneva (Switzerland), Singapore, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and Nairobi (Kenya). These summits are designed to foster cross‑regional dialogue and strengthen consensus on innovation cooperation. Concurrently, WIC will implement Science and Social Innovation Assistance Programs in emerging markets including Africa and Latin America, deploying innovative solutions to tackle shared global challenges such as food security and green development. Through these efforts, WIC is dedicated to advancing a mutually beneficial global innovation community. By uniting innovative forces worldwide, pooling global wisdom, building international consensus, exploring new innovation pathways, and deepening cooperation, WIC strives to ensure that the fruits of innovation better serve humanity.
