Call for Applications: 

2025 Global Innovative Model Cities

To all city government authorities worldwide: 

In recognition of outstanding achievements in urban innovation development, with the aim of shaping exemplary global innovative cities, promoting global economic and social innovation, and supporting the United Nations’ innovation and sustainable development goals to better benefit humanity, the Organizing Committee of the World Innovation Conference hereby announces the launch of the application and nomination process for the 2025 Global Innovative Model Cities. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2025. The Global Innovative Model Cities initiative is dedicated to identifying city cases with global influence as innovation role models. Being selected as a Global Innovative Model City will significantly enhance the city’s international competitiveness and influence, attract extensive global media coverage and worldwide attention, and provide critical reference points for governments, enterprises, and investment institutions globally.

Eligible cities for application include those that have achieved outstanding accomplishments in areas such as scientific and technological innovation, industrial innovation, modern service innovation, cultural and tourism innovation, openness to the outside world, and urban governance innovation. These cities must play a leading and exemplary role in promoting global urban economic and social innovation development.The results of the selection will be officially announced and awarded at the World Innovation Conference 2025 Annual Meeting.

We warmly welcome city government authorities worldwide to apply independently and compete for the honor of becoming a Global Innovative Model City, embracing the prestige of this distinguished title.
